Have you always thought that Mother’s day was everywhere around the same time? Think again! In Malawi mother’s day was celebrated just a couple of weeks ago.
Mother’s day has been officially introduced in Malawi only recently. We heard about it only this year for the first time. Schools are closed for a long weekend for the occasion and mother’s are spoiled and celebrated by the whole family.
Joyce, Ramos and Wit celebrated in style their mother’s and grandmas. Wit brought a new wrapper for his mum, his aunt and his grandma. They all were extremely happy. Later on they celebrated all together at Chikale Beach.
Also at Clement’s place there were celebrations. The children prepared a big poster for their mum, Grace and she told she really felt special and loved.
Even if a bit ‘out of season’ happy mother’s day everyone!!
