Closing the gap

Another semester is coming to an end and Malita is ready to go home for Christmas. Unfortunately we don’t have recent pictures from her, but we did receive her school report.

The report as such shows that she still needs a lot of support and she has a long way in front of her. Nevertheless the good news is that she is slowly closing the gaps in performance between her and her classmates. Pearson, her teacher, is also very adamant in keeping motivating her and he is excited by the progress she made.

She currently is in a very small class of only 7 students. Every child has different special needs and so even 7 actually is a large amount of students. Only 2 of them performed according to the national average a student is expected to have. For the rest, there is still a lot to do.

The other positive news is that Malita’s mood changes are getting less and less. She is friendly and cooperative with her classmates and with the teacher, which definitely is a good sign and a good progress from the past. We hope 2025 will be even better!
